1. “Words carry the message. They would carry the same meanings with or without paragraphing. Therefore, paragraphing has no effect on communication.” Discuss your view of this statement and provide an example which supports your analysis.
2. Evaluate this comment: “It’s hard to argue against courtesy, but businesspeople don’t have time to spend extra effort on it. Anyway, they want their documents to go straight to the point without wasting words and without sugar coating.” What position would you take regarding this comment. Defend your perspective.

The  business manager of a mid-size company has asked you and your fellow classmates to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the company's use of email for business communication.  (1) In your opinion, what is one advantage and one disadvantage you would express to the business manager?      (2)  You have also been asked to speak at the upcoming staff meeting about the  importance of good email etiquette and correctness.  What is your message to the staff members? (3)  Why is good email etiquette and correctness important in business?
